Another option to consider. We have a local ISP that doesn't have 800 
numbers for dial up. So we play the after 9:01 pm and weekends game and 
then just call in. We are on Verizon service and they have a kit they 
call Mobile Office or the like that works as a dialer for the phone. 
Once installed just plug in the phone, click the icon and it will 
connect you. We have used this method for two years and had overall good 
results.
Occasionally we do find WI FI but mostly just use dial up on the road. 
If you laptop is not already WI FI capable you can add it with a PCMCIA 
card for around $30.
Our local ISP is only $11.95 per month so we aren't giving it up easily.
