Barb, What they meant to say was to use the hair dryer to soften the numbers so you can peel them off. Once you get a corner started they come off fairly well. Often there will be residual glue left on the coach. Goo Gone or a mild solvent works well to take the glue off. None of these efforts will damage the finish. Charlie
