Speaking of brake controller lights, I noticed that although the red
light illuminates when the tow vehicle brake is engaged when it was
first installed the light would illuminate if the slide switch were
engaged to increase braking resistance on the trailer.  It no longer
illuminates when the slide switch is engaged but I don't notice any
difference in the performance of braking action.  To what could this be
attributed?
