Hi Scott,

The riv nuts that are in my kit ( never used them ) have a 
round, threaded hole that your can put a screw into. Helpful 
if you want the security of a rivet, but might need to 
unscrew it sometime.

Since it's Camping World, I'm guessing it's quick and dirty 
rivet time, maybe a power riveter. Go drill them out so you 
can have nice round rivets there, would be my choice.
