So the freezing of the water line cracked the fitting.

The same thing can happen to the shower head handle if there is water in 
that line as well.

Guess the only way to have all this stuff *not freeze* is to pump gallons of 
anti-freeze into *all* the water lines via the water pump until it runs out 
of all the faucets, shower head and into the toilet bowl.

Just wondering if you blew out all the water lines with air pressure before 
it was parked for the winter.  Did you?
