Years ago at the  Bismark ND International an older fellow with a 
generator mounted on a 3 wheeler came by and sold us a Dead Bolt lock 
set for our 1970.   He mounted the lock set in the door not in the wall 
as you would do with a normal home.   The bolt was filed down so only 
half the thickness would slide into the frame.   He had to use high 
speed drills and grinders to mount the lock set.   He did not use a 
lock set that was for home use but one intended for commercial use.  It 
has worked for me well for over 10 years.
