[VAL] AGM batteries

Thought I'd report on my experiences with "Lifeline" AGM (glass matt) 
batteries, as I'd made inquiries last month. I purchased 2 at Batteries 
Plus (in Ventura, CA, although all outlets have them in stock or can 
get them). By purchasing a pair I got the manager to give me a decent 
discount: $150 ea. I got a pair of cables at a local auto parts store 
so I can run them in  series. It's been a few weeks and so far I'm 
impressed. I can go for days without charging, including running the 
furnace (3 nights in Sequoia where it got cold at night), running a DVD 
player, and not being conservative with other DC power uses. These 
batteries will allow one to deplete the charge entirely with no ill 
effects. They are also sealed, so off gassing is not an issue.
I can heartily recommend these batteries. I trust I will be able to do 
the same in several years. Stay tuned.
