Re: [VAL] water heater - tankless

I've been connected with a Boy Scout Troop for well over 30 years. We
have an old school bus that we converted to a field kitchen many years
ago. We carry 300 gallons of water, have an LP stove top and oven as
well as an on-demand hot water heater. We also have an on-board
generator. We frequently have over 100 men and boys on a weekend
outing.

The first on-demand hot water heater was made in France and didn't work
well after the first year. Couldn't get replacement parts for it.
This was probably 10 or more years ago. It was replaced with another
unit that has worked fine ever since.

We often draw 10 to 20 gallons of hot water at a time to wash dishes
etc. in #2 washtubs outside. We've never lacked hot water with this
new unit. Unfortunately I don't know the brand name at hand. And we
are using a water supply from a 12-volt pump, not city water pressure.

Just one person's opinion. Hope this helps.

See you down by the barn . . . .
