[VAL] catalytic heater media

Hello-
Our 1979 International came equipped with a Therm'x Caravan mark 2 
catalytic heater. We enjoy using this while boondocking- it's quiet, 
efficient, and provides nice radiant heat (always operated with an open 
window..) It turns out that when we tried to vacuum it during a white 
tornado fit, we sucked off some of the fibrous catalytic fabric 
material, and now there is the distinct smell of incomplete combustion. 
We've stopped using it, but would really like to start again.
Anyone have a suggestion as to where and how I might be able to procure 
a fix?
