I was traveling on an Interstate several years ago with two of our five
children in the car, when we started to pass a truck.  We had reached about
1/3rd of the way up on the trailer when the truck's left front wheel
separated.  I don't know if the rim gave out causing the tire to blow or the
way round, but it sure got our attention as the truck swerved into our
passing lane!  We managed to slow down in time gathering up some grass along
the way but avoided an accident.  The truck's driver did a great job
controlling his rig but still ended up in the grass in the center.

I know what you are talking about, Hunter.  I never pass a truck without
looking at the left front wheel and wondering. . . .
