Re: [VAL] Bambi axle replacement

Wally,

Henschen apparently will make a replacement for any size Dura Torque
they ever made.

The Airstream factory service department in Jackson Center replaced the
Dura Torque in our 1960 Pacer for the price of the axle plus only 4
hours labor. (And in the Pacer the job took some ingenuity, as the
mounting provisions of the original axle were different than the present
axles.)

I don't know how far you are from the factory, but I would highly
recommend letting the factory service department replace your axle.
They're great folks to work with. And now is the time of the year to
take vintage projects to the factory. They're not as busy as in the
summer and have more time to undertake them.

Best regards,
