[VAL] Re:Stove use
I've used my stove for twenty years without running the vent fan, unless I
want to evacuate the steam from whatever it is I'm cooking. When I get into
the trailer, and it's really cold inside, first thing I do is light the
burners (and the catalytic heater) to warm the place up. I usually leave a
window cracked a bit, for fresh air, and let a small fan blow at the ceiling
to circulate the BTUs, but it hasn't killed me yet!
When I am boondocking I light the oven and set it at 300 while sitting
outside near the fire at night! By leaving it that way till I'm ready for bed~ the
trailer is Toasty and My carbon monoxide alarm has never gone off!
I turn it off when going to sleep and relite it in the am when starting the
coffee!
