Tom,

There is a service bulletin on this...you must keep
the lower part of the heater housing, to connect to
the trailer's ducting.
to do this, the entire heater housing must be removed,
and the lower patrt's spot weld must be chiseled off.
The new housing then attaches to the lower ducted
part, and a cover must be fabricated to accomodate
everything.
Not a slam-dunk, but not very hard to do either. Some
modifications to the skin will be necessary,
unfortunately. I am not sure if the air intake/exhaust
plate will fit exactly.
