My Yamaha is VERY noisey and doesn't run very smoothly. If I needed a generator more often, I would sell it cheap and buy two Honda 2000i's. On a recent trip, in a rest stop, I noticed that my Yamaha 2800 was louder than the 18 wheeler parked next to me. 67 dba is ALOT different than the 58 or so dba of the Hondas. Jim
