Hello all, I've got the same style step on my '56 Caravanner, and even though it stays up I'm concerned about it dropping if I hit a hard bump. I intend place the step in the raised position and drill a hole through the front of the frame and step. Then I'll put a removable clip or bolt and nut through both holes. Brian
