I bought a used Zip Dee off of a '66 Overlander. He cut the roller assembly
down. As I understand it, Zip De'es are unique as RV awnings go because the
recoil spring is only attached at one end. All of the Zip Dee's use the same
spring length. The amount of tension on this spring is done by turning the
one end a certain number of rotations based on the overall length of the
awning. I'll let you know how it goes on Saturday.
