hello aaron
not knowing the history of your trailer, i could only guess at a possible
answer to the oily substance. it was common for AS owners in the past to use
kerosene as an anti-freeze in P-traps. perhaps the PO removed the shower
head and poured some into the pipe or hose of your shower. it might have set
for some time. it would be oily as you described. my owners manual makes
this suggestion as to winterizing all the drains (p-traps) but not fresh
water supply. just a guess
