Chris,

I can't think of anything those awning tracks would be used for other than
what you've suggested -- tire covers or tire awnings usually of the blue
striped variety. ;)  They used to match the awning material.

Find them today?  I doubt it.  Why not just make them as they really are
easy -- just use the right sized rope that fits the track after the material
has been wrapped around it and stitched.
