Of course, I can't speak for anyone else.  But for this old fart 
with the terminally scarred scalp -- how about just basically clumsy?  
I not only walk into the window edges, but the rock guard, the top 
of the door, and the bottoms of the overhead lockers.  And I've been 
doing so for years.
