Shawn:
This doesn't directly answer your questions but may help. I do not
know the year when the factory began prewiring trailers for a/c. But on
slightly earlier 1960's trailers than yours, when each trailer was not
prewired for a/c, a/c had to be ordered before the trailer was built.
When so ordered, the factory installed an extra rib across the roof to
support the weight of the a/c as well as a separate 125 volt circuit to
power it.
Look on your roof for an "extra" arc of rivets that would indicate
an extra rib was installed (I don't know where this would be, however).
Look near the fuse box for a separate 125 volt a/c circuit breaker or
fuse for the a/c alone, which would have had its own circuit. If
neither is present, then your trailer was probably not prewired for a/c.
Nice looking Safari!
