Re: [VAL] aluminum edge trim

hi chris
it sounds to me that you are looking for aluminum "t" molding. in my
restoration i wanted to use that product on my dinette table. i searched the
web and found it in a number of widths but found the cost very high from
some of the 50' retro dinette people before i remembered my old standby for
trim hardware. you can get it reasonably priced from a company known as
outwater plastics. they are in NJ and also have a facility somewhere in AZ.
they have numerous widths and finishes including the horizontal ribs that i
choose. you have to use your router with a cutter head to put the groove
into the substrate which is available also from outwater as well as some
woodworking stores. if you intend to put the banding on a radius you will
need to cut out "v"s in the "t" portion of the banding so that it can make
the curve. see if you can find outwater on the web...otherwise let me know
and i will hunt down a tel number
