Re: [VAL] Best propane light location?

Kathy:

It's good to hear from you again, and thank you for the
great practical hints on using propane lamps. Hearing of
your wintering location gives me Slab envy.

I'm considering adding a propane lamp to my 1964 Globe
Trotter and am wondering where the best place is to mount
it. Most I have seen have been mounted at the end(s) of the
streetside overhead cabinets or off streetside cabinets near
the middle of the trailer. Are these locations chosen to
avoid having gusts of wind blow out the flame and/or mantle
as might happen if the lamp was mounted on the end of the
overhead cabinet aft of and just inside the entry door? Or
are high streetside locations chose for their ability to
direct light where most needed? Has anyone with a propane
lamp mounted on the end of the overhead cabinet just inside
the entry door ever have the flame blown out when opening
the entry door on a windy day? Or am I thinking too hard
about this? Experiences and thoughts appreciated.
