I have already burned the cabinet doors ...they were just warped
plywood...and I still have the cabinet facing in the galley to use as a
template but I do know what you mean by the veneer and I have done that
to a dated old bath cabinet. It does look like new if you never open the
door,,,and I don't care about that...who's gonna be seeing that but me
and sometimes the "driver"!!!
This door veneering is a great idea to share for those who don't have an
"overkill" work shop like my "tool addicted" Mr has accumulated!!!
We are hell-bent on having this thing look completely different. Right
now I am involved in making a dinette seat that's curved in front with
vertical strips of cherry 1/4" or less thick on the front.

I love using this Corel draw for making plans that come out of the
printer actually to scale. Not as messy as pencil drawing.
Sometimes creativity is a curse!! I mean it. I get on to myself for
making things too involved before I realize what I've gotten myself
into. I'm making all the handles out of freeform porcelain leaf
shapes....each is a bit different. Like the one on this box:

Here is a pix of the shoji door we finally got up last night.

Just a little success once in a while keeps us hanging in there.
