Hi Ken - another solvent I've had great results with is Bestine. You'll find it in quart cans at art supply stores. It will not damage the aluminum and I've used it on any type of residual adhesive from stickers, price tags, sticky tape, tar and sap. Good luck and keep us in the know. Brad Phoenix
