RE: [VACList] battery cables

I am hooking up a converter and new battery and installing all the dc
circuits to the connection box in it.  I need a bit of help. What sized
wire is used for the battery wire?  This means the wire that goes from
the battery to the converter? The old ones look like 10 ga [no info on
wire] wire but they are all corroded on the ends and I need a bit more
length to go around the battery box.  10 ga just seems small to me but I
can't find ring connectors [attach to battery bolt] to connect to 8 ga
or 6 ga wire anywhere.  Auto cables are 4ga and that seems a lot bigger
than the old ones.  One rv place said that 10ga is ok but I just want to
make sure before hooking them up.  I found ring connectors for 10ga wire
and I have plenty of stranded wire that size.
