no worry on the engine, your concern will have to be the cooling and the brakes.
make sure that the truck is tow ready and that should take care of the cooling.
I cannot imagine a problem with braking on the F250 with a small trailer like
the light weight models you are speaking of.
just keep your tanks empty while towing, or nearly empty - no more than 25%.
I have no problem with my van and my larger trailer.
and you have another 100hp and 150'lbs with your intercooler over my van.
