JoAnn,
My '59 Trade Wind at 24' was not fitted with shocks either. It went on some
rough dirt roads these last 5 days and performed great. I had the axle
replaced with a new one made for my trailer and kept the original leaf
springs based on the recommendation of the shop that replaced the axle. They
tested the leaf springs and said the were in great shape.
