Joann:

  A few very small Airstreams did not have shock absorbers. 
For example, my 1948 Wee Wind does not have shocks.  A
Bubble is similar.  

  Shock absorbers are not listed as standard equipment for
the 1955 or 1956 Bubbles, and shock absorbers are not listed
among the only 2 additional accessories for 1956 Bubbles.

and look at the list of standard and optional extra
equipment.  Shocks are not mentioned at all for the Bubble,
although they were standard in 1955-56 on Airstreams 18' and
longer.
