I would suggest getting one of the newer type of polarity checkers from any
hardware store.  You plug it into the three pronged outlet of the campground
BEFORE plugging your trailer in.

It will tell you if the polarity is reversed or/and there is a missing
ground.

They are less than 10 bucks and a good thing to have in your tool box.
