Stan,
I have a '76 Tradewind, and it came with factory installed (Cerritos, CA
built) fiber optic sensors so that the tow vehicle driver can check on the
operation of the left and right stop/directional signals by looking through
the left rear view mirror.

The outside shell (cover) of the unit was made of a black plastic which did
not stand up to the elements very well and turned a brittle light grey.

If you locate a replacement cover, let me know.
