Hi Martin,
Thanks for the input.  I think I am going to try your approach in hopes of
maintaining the integrity of the plywood.  It looks like only a few more
rivets and the banannas should come off.  However I am a bit leary about
getting that 5/8" plywood through that seemingly much smaller gap.  I just
read an entry on another website that advised to flex the frame downward
with weitghts or ratchet staps to widen the gap. Did you use this method?
