  Pet stores sell a compound that neutralizes urine and fecal odors.  You
should use it before trying other chemicals.  It has worked well with our
many pets over the years.  It should work on mouse droppings too.  You soak
it into an area, and as it dries it kills the odor.  To be safe you should
decontaminate with Clorox first.

  A cousin of mine mixed Drano and Clorox together in a drain trying to
clean it out.  Yah, just not thinking.  He was able to get to a phone just
before he passed out.  They were able to resuscitate him.  He is about 6'-5"
and weighs about 250 lbs.  The doc said he would have been dead if he had
not made it to the phone.  Be careful!  :)
