Paul,
Have you told them how good it looks original and offered any reason to
leave it that way???  Kidding, but being I'm a semi-purist (emphasis semi),
the horror stories are plentiful unless it's a complete custom job that
overrides the deflation of what is possibly about to happen.  If they are
sure they want to change it, the options are unlimited but people have been
turned off more often then not because previous owners have had "Visions".
Maybe you can convince them of how cool daisy wallpaper really is, and that
dark walnut or hickory is coming back!  I'll give you (them) that the gold
and green upholstery probably needs to go because it's likely moldy and
stinks but painting the fake wood cabinets will look worse then it maybe
does now.  New curtains would be awesome and might make those cabinets look
better too.  Just a thought.
