you know the foam plastic gasket that comes with the FanTastic Vent? looks
like packing material? A couple of suppliers have suggested that i NOT use
it, and rather use vulkem or appropriate sealant directly between the vent
and the sealing surface. I've installed three of them this way, and no
leaks. That's not to say that it *would* leak with the foam gasket... just
passing along my experience.
