I can see that Brians woodworking approach to floor patching is appealing to
the group, including me.  What I don't understand is why it would be a bad
idea to attach a 1"x6" underneath to span larger holes and then apply
Brian's fix.  It would act as reinforcement and be especially helpful when
the trailer is bouncing down country roads and the forces are UP as well as
DOWN.
