I always keep mine hooked up to a 30AMP outlet. I ran one from my breaker box 
and out to the driveway by the trailer so that it's always hooked up. This 
comes in handy for expected/unexpected guest as the trailer always provides 
room for company. Besides since the power outlet is grounded I do not think 
I would have to worry about grounding the trailer.
