I would say tipicaly no you don't need to add a ground if you plug that you 
plug your trailer into is properly grounded. Get yourself one of those plug 
testers that has 3 or 4 lights that light up a certain way to tell tell you 
if the wirring is correct. You should always carry one of theses to check 
the plugs at camp grounds before you plug into it. They check for opens, 
shorts, and other problems with the ac wirring of a plug.
