Brad,
I believe that the end caps on Argosy's are steel. I suppose you could strip
it all, buff the aluminum and steel then clear coat the whole thing. Haven't
heard of anyone doing it but you never know, it might look great. Modern
clear coats are great and will probably stick to the steel better than to
the aluminum.
