If you have a water hook up near your trailer you could always hook a 
grounding clamp to the cold water pipe comming out of the ground. Then run 
the grounding wire from the clamp to the frame of the trailer. One note make 
sure that both areas that you hook the ground the metal that you clamp to and 
screw the ground lug to is clean rust free surface.

By doing it this way you don't have to worry about trying to pound a 8' rod 
in the ground and also the water supply system makes a much better ground, it 
has more grounding surface with the earth.
