I've been nursing an opened tube of Vulkem for over 6 months now. My method
is to cap off the tube, which doesn't help, but I still do it. As the caulk
cures it seals off the uncured caulk in the tube. So the only problem is how
to get the uncured Vulkem out of the tube. I use a long drill bit to drill
out the cured caulk until I hit the good stuff. So far I've done this three
times on one tube.
