OK, I see that it doesn't have the metal cover that protects it, either. Might be just as easy, for winter storage, to find a tarp the right length and tie it over the top of the A/S, making sure that it covers the awning, and drawing it tight enough to eliminate the tunnel you are speaking of. Bob
