After I watch a few episodes of "Buffy
the Vampire Slayer" in a row, I get turned on by those yellow parking
lights at Walmart. Ever looked at your partner under that light.
They look positively demonic. Why? Because those silly lights lack
most of the color values that are needed to constitute a skin tone.
Fluorescent lights do the same thing but to a lesser degree as do Halogen.
Incandescent lighting does a fair job of reproducing the spectrum but even with
Thomas Edison's best efforts, it fails to deliver all the colors of shaded
sunlight (northlight).
Since my degree was in
photography from RIT the least that I can do is keep my coach as a decent
photographic environment. I am going to follow up the lead from Stephan on
full spectral fluorescents and meantime am getting the aftermarket covers for my
stock lights from Andy at InlandRV. It's nice to have a place to go for
aftermarket parts. I hope they thrive and make many more parts for
us.
