Joy, when it was my turn to answer that question, I pulled the drums and had
them ground round (after I verified they had never before been ground) -
then I bought new tires, had them put on the rims (after I made sure all
rims were identical) and balanced.

Maybe that was overkill for being picky, but my tires wear evenly and the
brakes bring everything to a smooth stop.
