Thanks Alex for the interesting commentary about skids.  I checked the
underbelly of 1966 Safari and found that it does indeed have skids.  Sadly I
have no records to support whether they were aftermarket or installed in the
Santa Fe Springs plant.  How did you find out that skids "were an
aftermarket add on in 1966"?
