Well I think I've heard it all now. I use exactly the same kind of structure
with my Bambi (see http://home.earthlink.net/~sherryhayes/EZUp.htm. I tried
using an "original" awning (poles, guy wires, etc.) and could not put it up
by myself, my dogs kept getting tangled in the lines, and it looked
terrible. The EZUp has made my camping so much more enjoyable. It's sturdy
and stable and I think quite handsome!

Chalk it up to the guy got up on the wrong side of the bed and forget about
it.
