Sticky ceilings come from smoking, and cooking with grease and/or fats. It is
also caused by smoke from cooking. As stories go, if the adhesive was
bleeding through, that would indicate an unstable bond of the vinyl to the
metal. If that was the case, hundreds or perhaps thousands of vinyl to metal
separations would occur. In fact, that separation has never happened.
