Ken,

My '73 had several stuck cranks. If you shoot it with silicone spray,
you may be able to get it to crank back down again.  There are also pins
in the threaded rod that you may be able to punch out and get it going.
See if the blow out may have bent something and try to straighten it .

If you don't have a fantastic fan, this is the moment !
