Hi Everyone!
This is Michael from Michigan. I
have been quietly reading and keeping up with the list. I am three years into a
restoration of a 1958 Overlander. Everyone should know that after painstakingly
reglueing and replacing the floor underneath the front couch, it has been
reupholstered. All of the wood in the kitchen, the couch area and back bedroom
has been completely refinished. I have fiberglass endcaps and the interior
is original Zoltone gray-green. After lots of hard work, I now have a
beautiful, vintage coach, that I find I can't be too far away from. So I
park it at the back door and use it as a get-away quiet place to read and study.
The refrigerator and furnace had been replaced in the mid '70's by the previous
owners. This trailer made regular trips to Florida every winter until its
original owner passed away. It was found in a field behind a barn in Everett,
Michigan, with broken windows. I still have the back bathroom floor and water
heater to finish. Wherever I have opened up the floor, the frame still has paint
on it.
This trailer has two twelve-volt
lights in the dome fixtures over the kitchen and back bathroom.
I thought it would be nice for
everyone to know that there is another vintage trailer out there that is being
preserved with love.
Michael
