[VAC] furnace gasket replacement

I was working on my NT-22A also and have/had the same problem. I think that
connection is between the outside and fan at the INTAKE. So, heat shouldn't
be a problem.

However, I made an interesting discovery that has damped my enthusiasm for
this project. There is another rubber hose that connects the blower to the
firebox. This one is sort of buried down in the duct connections and isn't
obvious. I could not get the two ports to align correctly and thereby
obtain a good seal. I think that someone must have put a different blower
on at some point, or the thing was never right to begin with. This made me
wonder whether I would be getting a good seal at this connection.

I'm pretty suspicious of this furnace, frankly. So, be sure that you have
good connections all around and there is nothing to impede proper flow,
pressure, or suction. Bad things can happen if all that stuff isn't in good
working order.
