Marvin,

Not having actually done this repair, .................... but if I needed 
to, ........................ I'd seriously look into sanding/grinding very 
carefully the area around the cracks, ....................... then carefully 
apply fiberglass, .................... then carefully sand the repair smooth, 
................ then paint.

Others that might have actually done this type of repair might have a better 
idea. I do know that you need much more than just glue. Good luck!!
